Norway, famous for long winter nights and seemingly endless summer days, breath-taking fjords, fishy cuisine, and, of course, Vikings, lies on the westernmost portion of the Scandinavian Peninsula. Norway’s official name is the Kingdom of Norway, which until just over 100 years ago, included Greenland and Iceland. Oslo is Norway’s capital as well as the country’s most populous city.

Denmark has declared, per Articles 15 and 16 of The Hague Evidence Convention, that depositions may not be taken in Denmark by diplomatic or consular officers without prior permission from the Danish Ministry of Justice. Regardless of the witness’ nationality, the Ministry has been invariably reluctant to grant such permission.
