Besluit van 20 november 1996, houdende wijziging van het Besluit bedragen aansprakelijkheidsverzekering motorrijtuigen en het Besluit van 23 november 1972 tot uitvoering van artikel 3, derde lid, van de Wet aansprakelijkheidsverzekering motorrijtuigen (Stb. 618)

Op de voordracht van Onze Minister van Justitie van 5 september 1996, nr. 568943/96/6, gedaan mede namens Onze Ministers van Financiën en van Verkeer en Waterstaat;
Gelet op artikel 22 van de Wet aansprakelijkheidsverzekering motorrijtuigen;
Gezien het nader rapport van Onze Minister van Justitie van 14 november 1996, Directie Wetgeving, nr. 588151/96/6, uitgebracht mede namens Onze Ministers van Financiën en van Verkeer en Waterstaat;
De Raad van State gehoord 2 oktober 1996, No.W03.96.0431;
Hebben goedgevonden en verstaan:
Het Besluit bedragen aansprakelijkheidsverzekering motorrijtuigen1 wordt als volgt gewijzigd: A. In artikel 2, eerste lid, komt «De som, waarvoor de in de wet bedoelde verzekering» te luiden: De som, waarvoor de verzekering van aansprakelijkheid, bedoeld in artikel 3, eerste lid, van de wet,».

Na artikel 2 wordt een artikel ingevoegd, luidende:
Art. 2a. De som, waarvoor de verzekering van aansprakelijkheid, bedoeld in artikel 3a, eerste lid, van de wet, voor een motorrijtuig ten minste moet zijn gesloten, bedraagt f 15 000 000,- per gebeurtenis.
Het Besluit van 23 november 1972 tot uitvoering van artikel 3, derde lid van de Wet aansprakelijkheidsverzekering motorrijtuigen (aanwijzing van landen en gebieden) (Stb. 618)2 wordt als volgt gewijzigd:

In artikel 1 wordt na «artikel 3, derde lid,» toegevoegd: en artikel 3a, derde lid,.
Dit besluit en de Wet van 2 november 1995 tot wijziging van de Wet aansprakelijkheidsverzekering motorrijtuigen in verband met aanvulling van de Boeken 3, 6 en 8 van het Burgerlijk Wetboek met regels betreffende de aansprakelijkheid voor gevaarlijke stoffen en verontreiniging van lucht, water en bodem (Stb. 542) treden in werking op 1 januari 1997.
Lasten en bevelen, dat dit besluit met de daarbij behorende nota van toelichting in het Staatsblad zal worden geplaatst.
