The Hesperian Foundation has released a new edition of A Book for Midwives: Care for pregnancy, birth, and women's health by Susan Klein, Suellen Miller, and Fiona Thomson. It has been extensively revised to better support care in labour and management of emergencies, and expanded to include life-saving reproductive health information.
Developed in participation with community-based midwives and midwifery trainers, updates are included on HIV and AIDS in pregnancy and birth, breastfeeding, preventing infection and family planning. There are...
