Wet van 1 juli 1999 tot wijziging van de Wet op het hoger onderwijs en wetenschappelijk onderzoek houdende indexering van het collegegeld
Wij Beatrix, bij de gratie Gods, Koningin der Nederlanden, Prinses van Oranje-Nassau, enz. enz. enz.
Allen, die deze zullen zien of horen lezen, saluut! doen te weten: Alzo Wij in overweging genomen hebben, dat het wenselijk is het collegegeld voor voltijdse opleidingen in het hoger onderwijs jaarlijks aan te passen aan de ontwikkeling van het algemene prijspeil en daartoe in de Wet op het hoger onderwijs en wetenschappelijk onderzoek een indexeringsbepaling op te nemen;
Zo is het, dat Wij, de Raad van State gehoord, en met gemeen overleg der Staten-Generaal, hebben goedgevonden en verstaan, gelijk Wij goedvinden en verstaan bij deze:
De Wet op het hoger onderwijs en wetenschappelijk onderzoek1 wordt gewijzigd als volgt:

In artikel 7.43, eerste lid en derde lid, tweede volzin, wordt «f 2 750» telkens vervangen door: f 2 816.
B
Aan artikel 7.43 wordt een vijfde lid toegevoegd, luidende: 5. Bij ministeriële regeling wordt het in het eerste en derde lid genoemde bedrag jaarlijks geïndexeerd aan de hand van het prijsindexcijfer van de gezinsconsumptie. De ministeriële regeling wordt vastgesteld voor 1 november voorafgaand aan het studiejaar waarvoor het geïndexeerde collegegeld zal gelden. De indexering wordt bepaald door de procentuele wijziging die het prijsindexcijfer van de gezinsconsumptie over de maand april, voorafgaand aan de vaststelling van de ministeriële regeling, heeft ondergaan ten opzichte van de maand april in het daaraan voorafgaande jaar. De aldus verkregen wijziging van het collegegeldbedrag wordt afgerond op het naastbij gelegen gehele getal. Hetgeen onder prijsindexcijfer van de gezinsconsumptie wordt verstaan, wordt geregeld bij ministeriële regeling.
