A new, totally restructured and user-friendly website is now accessible to members, partners, guests and visitors, and is due to be launched formally on 5 May, the International Day of the Midwife. The site will enable midwives to access news, reports, publications, policy papers and other useful documents from both ICM and other global sources.

Judi Brown, Director of the ICM Board, said, '"I am delighted to see ... the launch of the new website, which will enhance midwives' capacity both to network and to access important news and publications.

'Communication of all types is essential to midwifery practice and I have no doubt that this sophisticated tool will ultimately assist midwives to provide improved care for women and babies'.

The site has many new features including a 'members only' section for different user groups, such as ICM Board Members and Council Delegates, and the facility to create mini-web pages. It will be continually updated...
