ICM has received the following announcement from Family Care International, an organisation with which it shares many aims and has worked successfully on a number of projects:

'This year, in 2007, FCI celebrates its 20th anniversary. Over the past 20 years, the organisation has made major contributions to the fields of maternal health, adolescent sexual and reproductive health, and advocacy for reproductive health at the global, regional and national levels. FCI continues to develop innovative programme approaches and maintains its commitment to reaching under-served populations and working on critical issues in reproductive health and rights.

'Through these two decades, FCI has benefited from a partnership between Jill Sheffield, founder and President, and Ann Starrs, serving as Executive Vice President. When Jill informed FCI's Board of Directors that she will be stepping down as President at the end of 2007, it was unanimously agreed that Ann is the right choice to lead FCI into its third decade.
