The American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) issued an IDM press release confirming that midwifery care plays a vital role in improving maternal and infant health outcomes. On the day, ACNM honoured the accomplishments of midwives worldwide, and reminded policymakers about the challenges of delivering quality health care to women and their families.
