The ICM and International Council of Nurses (ICN) presented a joint statement to the 58th World Health Assembly, meeting in Geneva, Switzerland, May 16-25. Its focus was the expression of concern about lack of progress towards the Millennium Development Goals. The two organisations stressed the point that while individual health professionals can strive to reach the health-related goals, sustainable change will not happen until all the goals are met.
